Application infrastructure

Give your applications a modern, ultra-fast and scalable cloud infrastructure

Get your platform ready to absorb growth. Cloud migration, response time optimisation and lower hosting costs.

Beyond a remote server

Outdated servers that collapse during traffic peaks

Containers, CI/CD, caching or auto-scaling do not fix an application by themselves. The target must reflect workloads, dependencies, data, Swiss or European constraints and service recovery objectives.

Your site or application crashes as soon as traffic spikes

A successful marketing campaign or media coverage turns into a technical nightmare.

Cloud bills that soar with no explanation

You pay for oversized servers all year round to compensate for a poorly optimised architecture.

No reliable backup or disaster recovery plan

If your hosting provider goes down, your data risks being lost forever.

The foundations of a modern Cloud infrastructure

Migrating to the cloud doesn’t simply mean renting a remote virtual server. It means adopting DevOps and “Infrastructure-as-Code” methodologies to make your application system autonomous, resilient and elastic.

The building blocks of our cloud architecture

Containerisation (Docker & Kubernetes)

We package your application and its dependencies into isolated “containers”. This guarantees that the application runs exactly the same way on the developer’s machine and on the production servers.

Automated deployment (CI/CD pipelines)

Every code update pushed is automatically tested, built and deployed to the servers within seconds, with no service interruption for users (zero-downtime deployment).

Horizontal scalability (auto-scaling)

If your application goes from 100 to 10,000 concurrent users in 5 minutes, the infrastructure automatically spins up new virtual servers to handle the load, then shuts them down when traffic drops.

Content delivery network (CDN) & caching

Your images, scripts and pages are distributed across relay servers located as close as possible to your users (e.g. Geneva, Zurich, Frankfurt) for instant loading.

Certified hosting providers and data sovereignty

We work with the cloud leaders (AWS, Google Cloud, Hetzner, Infomaniak), configuring your data storage exclusively in the geographic regions you choose (Switzerland / EU) to guarantee full regulatory compliance.

A high-availability, fully controlled Cloud architecture

Smooth migration with no service interruption

We migrate your databases and applications to modern cloud infrastructures completely seamlessly.

Auto-scaling

Your servers adapt dynamically to the load: they scale up during peaks and scale down the rest of the time.

Cost optimisation and maximum performance

We fine-tune resources to cut your hosting bills while improving speed.

The stages of your cloud migration

Audit of current infrastructure and load times

Target architecture design and automation (DevOps)

Dry-run migration and stress tests

Final switchover and 24/7 monitoring setup

Guaranteed results

  • 99.9% guaranteed availability for your applications.
  • Loading times cut by three for your users.
  • Full control over your monthly hosting spend.

They trust us

“I recommend Play Digital because of their ability to understand the needs of the market in which clients operate and incorporate this dimension into their solutions. The support goes beyond purely technical thinking; it includes strategic considerations and elements of marketing and communication. Play Digital has allowed us to develop a custom solution in a complex market due to numerous regulations. The flexibility of the chosen solution allows us to constantly adapt to changing demands and market constraints.”

Frequently asked questions

01In which country will our data be hosted once migrated to the Cloud?

We set up your servers exclusively in data centres located in Switzerland (e.g. Geneva/Zurich with Infomaniak or AWS) or in Europe (Hetzner), depending on your legal obligations and your preference.

02Do we risk losing data during the migration to the Cloud?

No. We first carry out several “dry run” migrations on test servers. The final switchover is performed during off-peak hours (usually at night) after freezing and backing up the original database.

03What is auto-scaling and how is it useful for my platform?

Auto-scaling allows your infrastructure to automatically add server power during a traffic spike, then reduce it when things calm down. You only pay for the power consumed, to the minute.

04Will you help us reduce our current cloud bill if it is too high?

Yes. A large part of our DevOps work involves identifying oversized resources, optimising databases and setting up caching, which often halves your hosting bills.

05Do you offer a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) in the event of a major incident?

Yes. We automate encrypted daily backups to a remote site. In the event of a complete datacentre crash, we can restore your entire infrastructure within a few dozen minutes.
